It’s no joke, and undeniable: plastic recycling is a vital link in a circular economy. And in today’s economy, we consume plastic like never before – when plastic could be the number one raw material standard. So why isn’t it? Can we close the loop once and for all?
NRK Recycling’s Plastics gone Circular Congress asks just this. Rooted in NRK’s deep knowledge and experience in the world of plastics and all things recycling, the congress will engage the public alongside a range of local and international actors to explore the issue and catalyze action towards a healthy, circular plastic economy. With a European perspective, discussion will hone its focus towards making circular cities.
Speakers will include key stakeholders from, among others, Brussels, members of the Dutch parliament, frontrunners in the plastics converting industry, the City of Amsterdam, and more.
CITIES’ managing director Francesca Miazzo will speak at 16:15 on the Sustainable Circular Cities panel, discussing WASTED’s Reward System as a learning point towards galvanizing more robust circular cities through local, community-inclusive waste management schemes.
