INVITATION: Second Food Mash!

For the New Year, join a series of knowledge transfer, networking and action planning events aimed at creating a more resilient food system in Amsterdam!

The Food Mash series is nearing its second event! If you missed the first Food Mash, you can read about it here. In 2014, however, we will do things a little bit differently.

As each event will focus on different actors in the local food system, we kicked off the series with a focus on growers, and will spotlight producers and local brands in this second event. We are looking forward to a great evening, full of knowledge transfer, networking, action planning events, and fun – aimed at creating a more resilient food system in Amsterdam.

Details follow:

  1. – The second Food Mash will take place on Monday, January 20th.
  1. – It will take place at Moes, located at Prins Henrikkade 142.
  1. – If you will join, please make sure you sign up here with this sign-up form, so we have a  clear indication of who’s coming and how much food we need to make.

Changing our approach from the first Food Mash, the Agenda will be a bit more lively and open. The flow of the evening will be the following:

18:00, Doors open & Dinner.

18:30, Introduction & Goals mapping. Defining goals we believe in and clustering our organizations and ourselves around goals we’re committed to accomplishing.

19:00, Brief comments from processors and food brands. Hearing from those dealing directly with consumers.

19:15, Speed dating. A fast-paced networking session seeking to answer: what are the synergies between us?

20:00, Market. You are free to roam around different stations for food tasting, short video interviews, workshops, further work on goals, and whatever else pops up! During this time, while continuing to map and cluster ideas and people around goals, we will have stations such as:

  1. – Processors/local brands market – showcasing both products and needs/opportunities
  1. – Video interview station and photo booth
  1. – Guerrilla marketing workshop

21:00, Closing remarks

21:15, After drinks

22:00, Close of event

Once again, If you will join, please sign up here with this sign-up form, so we have a clear indication of who’s coming and how much food we need to make.

See you in the New Year!

From your friends at Metabolic, Farming the City and BiteMe

Dinner will be 5 EUR (salad and soup), and drinks will be between 1.50 and 2 EUR.
